Schneider Electric Provides Emergency Support for Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hospital in Wuhan

When the Huoshenshan Hospital in Wuhan began to receive patients on February 3,2020,the electric equipment by Schneider Electric China as an emergent supply played a very important role in ensuring its operation,the most urgent issue at the time. So did our supply of electric equipment to Leishenshan Hospital.

As the novel coronavirus outbreak made a massive impact throughout China,Schneider Electric spared no effort to help combat the epidemic. When Wuhan decided to build the Huoshenshan Hospital on January 23,on the following day,Schneider Electric staff immediately jumped out of their vacation and began to work on the technical details with the construction organizations and designers. They also worked with partners to make available various items of electric equipment needed for power supply,including a range of Electrical Distribution Switches,Uninterrupted Power Supplies(UPS),and precision air conditioners.

All the systems provided by Schneider Electric such as RMU(Ring Main Units)and UPS are now working to support the stable power supply at Huoshenshan Hospital and Leishenshan Hosptial. As of February 2,the dispatch,transport,assembly,connection,testing and delivery for all products had been completed,and the equipment had arrived at the construction sites. The power distribution products from Schneider Electric were installed in the wards,operating rooms and rest areas of the two hospitals.

Meanwhile,Schneider Electric also undertook the urgent task of providing electric parts and components for the remodeling of Beijing’s Xiaotangshan Hospital-Area B. The company completed the dispatch and delivery of the required Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC)and switch mode power supplies in just two hours. Schneider Wingoal completed the production and delivery of the Surge Protection Device(SPD)iSCB in just one day. These efforts enabled renovating the hospital quickly.

In addition to ensuring the power supply for the hospitals,Schneider Electric also donated RMB 1 million to the Red Cross of Wuhan. The donation will be allocated to medical institutions including the Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital and Wuhan Children’s Hospital,for purchasing key materials such as medical supplies and emergency equipment,and for associated relief efforts. The company has also mobilized its branch companies in France and other European countries to continue source needed medical supplies.
