SAP announced today that it will donate software products and supporting services valued at more than RMB 15 million to help small and medium enterprises in Wuhan and Hubei to establish a digital system and realize post-disaster reconstruction. In addition,SAP is providing an additional RMB 3 million cash donations on top of an already-donated RMB 3 million. The total SAP donation now exceeds RMB 20 million,fully demonstrating SAP’s corporate social responsibility in China.

In time of crisis,we will leverage our core business to build a solid line of defense for customers,and make further contributions to help China get back to work and aid in economic recovery.”
The outbreak of the COVID-19 which has become a global pandemic. The situation has caused deep business challenges to SMEs. To help them survive the difficult period and resume production,SAP is leveraging the “SAP Wuhan Empowerment Center” established in cooperation with Wuhan’s Qiaokou District in 2019. They will use the center as a platform to provide software and services for SMEs in Wuhan and Hubei to build digital capabilities and achieve end-to-end operations. This will help alleviate the problem of tight cash flows for SMEs and insufficient funds for digital transformation. This move will also benefit the regional economy of Wuhan and help achieve the goal of rapid recovery and prosperity.
Previously,SAP had donated 3 million to the Hubei Charity Federation to support five hospitals of the Wuhan Epidemic Center. The additional cash of more than 3 million will be donated to “Huoshenshan” and “Leishenshan” hospitals in Wuhan,as well as hospitals in Suizhou,Xiaogan,Huanggang and other places in Hubei,to purchase protection and disinfection supplies for virus prevention and control.
Christian Klein,the co-CEO of SAP,also personally sent sincere greetings to Chinese employees,customers and partners,and expressed his appreciation for the speed and response capacity of China during the epidemic. He said:“I believe that after the epidemic,employees,customers and partners in China and SAP China will become stronger.
