2018 kicked off China's efforts to put the decisions of the 19^th National Congress of the CPC into action and marked the start of the service of the 13^th National People's Congress and its Standing Committee. In accordance with the requirements of the CPC Central Committee for comprehensively advancing the rule of law and deepening reform and opening-up, the NPC and its Standing Committee have brought their leading roles in legislation into full play and carried out a series of legislation activities jointly with the State Council, producing an extensive and significant influence on the respect and protection of human rights.
