India’s new SEZ policy is the direct result of India choosing the route of initiating economic reforms in the country.The Indian model stresses private sector involvement in the SEZ and also encourages joint venture production with MNC’s. Data from the Ministry of Commerce shows us that India has benefited from the creation of SEZ’s especially where the information and technology industry is concerned.The main problem constraining India’s SEZ’s is the lack of public and political will.On the whole，we can argue that SEZ’s across the world have shown good results and India needs to better coordinate its aims and policies to ensure that it can benefit fully from free trade and production.
