After the ups and downs in the year of 2008 and correction to the low in 2009，the overall tendency of global shipping market in 2010 is better than that of 2009. From the performance of SSI，the average SSI in the year 2009 was 88.594，while that of 2010 must have exceeded 93，with a growth rate of over 5%，as is shown in figure 1.
