Through the statistical analysis of research documents concerning the protection and utilization of cultural heritage since 1994，this article presents a summary of the protection and utilization of cultural heritages in China in seven aspects. The article reflects the progress，academic trends，and puts forward some theoretical and practical questions to which special attention should be paid.
