When China’s agriculture and rural economic development entered a new stage，some deep-rooted contradictions of reform and development emerged gradually，and issues concerning agriculture，countryside and farmers（short for “three agro” issues have been more and more prominent，becoming the major issues associated to the entire national economy and social development. Solving the “three agro” issues not only related to the healthy and smooth development of agriculture and the rural economy，but also to the sustainable and rapid development of the whole national economy and social stability. At this stage，the work of rural fixed observation points becomes even more important and the tasks will be more arduous. The work of the rural fixed observation points should always adhere to the important ideology of “three represents”，closely center on the outstanding problems in the agricultural and rural economic development to collect data，gather information，conduct monitoring，provide analysis to serve the macro decision-making. Now，I’d like to give some opinions on several issues to be addressed in current agriculture and rural economic development，by combining the work of the fixed observation points.
