The Seventeenth CPC National Congress proposed new requirements for realizing the target of moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2020. The key point to realize this target is to accelerate the transformation of economic development pattern，by promoting the economic growth to transform from being mainly stimulated by investment and export to be stimulated by coordination of consumption，investment and export，and to transform from being mainly promoted by secondary industry to be promoted by coordination of the primary，secondary and tertiary industries，and to transform from mainly relying on increase of material resources consumption to be mainly relying on progress of science and technology，improvement of workers’ quality，and management innovation. This conclusion is made after summarizing the practical experiences in modernization of our country，is the inevitable requirement to implement and carry through the scientific outlook on development，a major strategic ideology proposed based on the reality of the current stage of economic development，and the correct direction must be adhered to in promoting China’s economic and social development. We should profoundly understand the intension and vital importance of the transformation of development pattern，and effectively implement the various requirements for the transformation of development pattern.
