At the critical moment of prevention and treatment of COVID-19，Pfizer China offered support and assistance to the Chinese government and health care providers（HCPs）in fighting against the epidemic. The company continues to pay attention to the progress of the COVID-19，helps patients and HCPs as much as possible. So far，Pfizer has donated emergency drugs and protective materials with a total value of over 9 million yuan.

With the increasing number of diagnosed cases early in the epidemic，the demand for relevant drugs is increasing rapidly. In the treatment plan proposed by experts，several of the major antibiotics are manufactured by Pfizer. Thereupon，Pfizer China immediately held an emergency cross-department meeting，quickly decided to donate 2.2-million-yuan worth of anti-infective products to the hospitals in Wuhan through the Red Cross Society of China Wuhan Branch，for the rescue and treatment of infected patients.

In the donation process，various Pfizer departments worked day and night，and seamlessly. After more than 20 hours of running against time，the internal and external processes needed for donation were completed quickly. The first batch of anti-infective drugs were delivered to the Wuhan Red Cross Society in the morning of the New Year’s Eve，reflecting responsibility and care with Pfizer’s speed.

With the development of the epidemic situation，medical protective materials are in short supply. The Pfizer Foundation granted USD500，000 to international NGOs to support the delivery of urgently needed medical protective supplies，which including medical masks，gloves，protective suits，etc. These materials have been delivered to several hospitals in Wuhan.

The spread of COVID-19 was initially curbed，but the support from Pfizer did not stop. After that，Pfizer successively donated medical protective materials to several hospitals in Shaanxi，Liaoning，Hubei and other places as well as the Hangzhou Red Cross Society. Up to February 25，2020，the cumulative value of donated drugs and materials from Pfizer had exceeded 9 million yuan.
