This paper classifies and analyzes 1435 pieces of literature published in the Chinese academic journal Tourism Tribune during the fourteen years period of 1986～1999.The intent of this research is to find the status quo and characteristics of current tourism research and to offer prospects and suggestions for future research work in China.
