本书系统梳理了中国最低工资制度的特点,又以多个数据库为支撑,如中国家庭金融调查数据、中国工业企业数据、中国海关数据、企业法律纠纷数据以及百度搜索指数数据等,客观细致地展现了最低工资制度在中国的实践过程及其作用。本书研究显示,一方面最低工资标准上涨会显著提升低收入群体的工资水平,短期内增加本地劳动力的供给;另一方面最低工资标准上涨也会带来就业下降、居民健康人力资本水平下降、企业投资减少、出口萎缩等负向影响。考察中国最低工资标准上涨的综合效应发现,正向作用仍超过负向作用,最低工资标准还有小幅上涨空间。
