President Xi Jinping pointed out in his important speech at the Spring Festival reception in the Year of the Loong that as the totem of the Chinese nation，the loong is deemed strong，fearless，benevolent，and powerful. The origins of Chinese loong culture trace back to ancient times. As early as the Neolithic period，many archaeological discoveries related to loongs have been made across China. With the progress of archaeological research，an increasing number of artifacts have provided solid evidence of the development and continuity of loong culture in Chinese history. Exploring the origins and evolution of loong culture helps us gain a deeper understanding of the Chinese people’s early spiritual beliefs，social organization，and cultural exchanges.
