我国的公关行业经过20年的发展, 已经初具规模,国内的公共关系市场也已经在短暂的时间内创造了巨大的成就。但是对比西方公共关系行业发达的国家,对自己行业本身的关注以及持续的描述与报告,国内的状况目前虽然有了较大改观, 不过仍存在诸方面的不足。因此,面对这种情况, 对公关行业现状进行广泛的调研并在此基础上进行必要的梳理, 能够使公关业对自身有一清晰的了解,对企业和其他相关单位也是一个参考。 本书的调查具有非常重要的意义:该调查在科学抽样的前提下, 对国内公共关系行业的参与者———一方面是公共关系公司与公共关系从业人员, 另一方面是作为公共关系客户的各行业相关企业及其公共关系相关从业人员———进行了比较全面系统的涉及与分析, 调查内容包括: (1) 公关公司运营状况、公关公司客户状况、公关公司与媒介的合作; (2) 企业公关活动情况;(3) 公关公司公关从业人员基本情况、公关公司领导层对公关行业整体趋势的态度、公关普通员工与领导层几个方面的态度比较; (4) 国内各个地区之间在公关公司、公关从业人员以及企业的公关活动等方面的差异等。而该调查的重要意义主要就体现在对两大方面( 公关公司- 企业) 各自正在出现的趋势所进行的识别与总结。这些结论不仅对于公关公司的业务开展与进一步拓展、公关公司从业人员日常工作的顺利进行具有十分重大的指导意义, 也对作为公共关系客户的企业恰当的公共关系观念的形成以及成功公共关系活动的开展, 企业内部公共关系相关人员与部门成熟公共关系意识等方面的发展提高有明显的导航作用。
