This paper analyzes top 100 hospitals in China from the aspects ofgeographical distribution,medical technology,academic influence and resource allocation. This paper finds out that in addition to Inner Mongolia,Qqinghai,Tibet,Guizhou and Hainan,there are at least one hospital from other provinces in the top 100 list,among which Beijing,Shanghai and Guangdong rank the mostin terms of the number of top 100 hospitals,reflecting the unbalanced distribution of top hospitals in China. The results of competitiveness factors analysis show that,among the top 100 hospitals,the first phalanx hospitals have small differences with other phalanx hospitals in service capacity and resource allocation,and relatively large differences in talents construction and academic research capacity. Specialty construction and academic research are important factors influencing the competitiveness of the top hospitals.
