Improving regional innovation networks is an important way to promote collaborative innovation and achieve high-quality synergy between Beijing,Tianjin,and Hebei. This report selects four time points(2012,2015,2018,and 2021)and uses data on the number of new enterprises invested in science and technology capital among prefecture-level and above cities nationwide to construct and measure the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation network from both a self-perspective and a national perspective using social network analysis methods. The study finds that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation network has formed a pattern with dual cores in Beijing-Tianjin and Shi-Bao acting as the sub-center. The innovation influence of each node city continues to increase,and the balance of the innovation network continues to improve. The cohesiveness of the network has also improved significantly,but collaboration between the center and peripheral cities still needs to be enhanced. Additionally,the degree of external innovation links for the city cluster continues to increase;however,the cluster’s status in the national innovation network is declining. Based on these findings,this report proposes countermeasures to optimize the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation network by continuously strengthening the innovation-drivingeffect of the core city nodes of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation network on the peripheral city nodes,further cultivating the sub-centers of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei innovation network,and strengthening the innovation links between Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other high-level innovative city clusters.
