This paper focuses on exploring the intention of attracting young people from Hong Kong and Macao to integrate into the nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area and promoting the development of the Greater Bay Area since the release and implementation of the Outline of the Development Plan for the Greater Bay Area. Based on a questionnaire survey and case interview,this paper analyzes the degree of identity and existing needs of young people in Hong Kong and Macao on the construction and planning of the Greater Bay Area,urban governance,business environment and residential life,and points out the macro and micro factors that hinder the improvement of the degree of identity. Finally,the paper puts forward some suggestions to enhance the identity of young people in Hong Kong and Macao to participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area from the aspects of strengthening the awareness of a community with a shared future in the Greater Bay Area,constantly creating a social environment to support the development of young people in Hong Kong and Macao,and vigorously expanding the channels for them to participate in social management.
