This report first describes the scope of the concept of the new generation of electronic information industry,and analyzes the industrial agglomeration of the new generation of electronic information industry and major regions in China. Secondly,it analyzes the virtual agglomeration situation of the new generation of electronic information industry,explains the mechanism of the transformation of the industry from the traditional geographical spatial agglomeration mode to the network virtual agglomeration with the real-time exchange of data and information as the core,and the typical virtual agglomeration mode of the new generation of electronic information industry:the virtual agglomeration of the supply chain with the production link around the core factory. The consumption link focuses on the virtual agglomeration of e-commerce platforms to meet the fragmented and personalized consumption needs,and the virtual agglomeration of industries around standards and industry alliances. This report also surveys and analyzes the current situation,advantages and problems of the new generation of electronic information industry in Guangdong province. In view of the main problems existing in the new generation of electronic information industry in Guangdong province:the “bottleneck” problem is still prominent,the industrial development between cities is extremely unbalanced,and the investment has not been effectively utilized,the corresponding policy recommendations are put forward,mainly including:enhancing innovation ability,improving the quality of scientific research investment,cultivating virtual industrial clusters,and promoting cross-regional coordinated development.
