Owing to the support of Chinese government,China’s museums now have more functions. Rather than just being a collection and study on historic relics,social education and services have become the primary function of museums. Currently,the most common form of social education in museums is interpretation,lectures,educational activities and a relevant designed curriculum. The discipline of museum social education in universities aims to combine social education in museums with family education,so as to learn from the rich tangible and intangible cultural heritages of Chinese history,as well as to have patriotic education for teenagers. The Chinese government has thus devoted a large sum of funds to support teenagers’ education in museums,offering more convenient resources and professional services with more diversified educational models and more innovative contents. Remarkable achievements have been made in the cooperation between museums and schools. Teachers have discovered a set of effective teaching models with their own characteristics according to daily practices. The efforts and achievements we made have accumulated precious experience for the development of teenagers’ social education in museums.
