Currently,there is a mistrust in China surrounding early childhood education (ECE),especially between parents and ECE providers. Recent scandals and inappropriate policies have only worsened the situation—there is an increasing panic when it comes to ECE and conflicts between families and ECE providers have escalated. This paper explores the causes and the crux of the problems and offers a reflection of the current dilemma. Preschool education should return to people,return to reality and normal;each education system will be responsible for their duties and practice their own work.It also presents lessons from the non-formal education model of the Fourth Ring Play Group targeting migrant children in Beijing,and attempts to provide potential insights towards solving the problems in parent-ECE-provider relationship. “Small is beautiful”. Kindergartens need to synchronize children's education and guide parents. The real practice site is the platform for teachers' professional development.
