In recent years,there is a “national learning fever” for traditional Chinese culture in China. Through using quantitative and qualitative research methods,this paper analyses the development of the various providers of traditional Chinese culture education and the different characteristics and major problems of traditional Chinese cultural education in universities,secondary and primary schools,Si Shu (private schools),and Shu Yuan (colleges). This paper offers the following policy proposals:determine the function and purpose of traditional Chinese cultural education,attach importance to the“creative transformation and innovative development”of traditional Chinese cultural education,and develop an open and pluralistic institutional mechanism.
