中文摘要
新中国60年，尤其是改革开放30年来，中国取得了举世瞩目的经济成就，并逐渐摆脱了贫穷落后的面貌，向高收入国家迈进。中国的发展经验可以为其他发展中国家和地区所分享。本书分别从中国与世界银行的合作、与东盟自贸区的建设、与非洲的关系、引进外国直接投资和社会保障体系的建设等5个方面，以中国学者的视角详细分析了中国经济发展的经验，并讨论对于发展中国家和地区的借鉴意义。这种系统总结和分析中国经济发展经验的研究在国内外尚比较少见。
本书以中英文两种文字同时出版。
文章列表
第一，文章简要回顾了世界银行与中国关系的发展和变化，认为中国与世界银行关系正常化并逐渐发展为可以相互依赖的伙伴关系，与中国所处的国际和国内环境的逐渐改善紧密关联。第二，客观地分析了世界银行对华战略的两大重点：通过贷款项目逐渐传输市场经济体制的各种规则和制度机制，为中国从中央计划经济体制向市场机制体制转型创造条件；与中国改革发展进程中的国家阶段性目标相结合，解决中国社会经济发展中面临的各种紧迫问题。第三，从世界银行对华援助中的伙伴关系出发，分析了世界银行对华援助的经验及其对其他发展中国家和地区的借鉴意义。世界银行以贷款资金为载体，充分发挥政策咨询和经济研究工作的政策影响力，通过传输新知识、新理念、新规则、新机制，引导中国逐渐从计划经济向市场经济体制全面转型，推动中国改革开放进程。

The assessment shows that trade liberalization in agriculture，covered by the “Early Harvest Program”，and trade in goods and services in general bring about significant “pro-poor effects”. Further，the specific mode of financial cooperation under CAFTA also has positive indirect impacts on vulnerable groups. In order to enhance the agreements’ pro-poor effects，it is suggested to reinforce cooperation in the area of investment and agriculture，to provide further support to vulnerable groups through the provision of small credit，and pay more attention to economic development along the border between China and ASEAN countries，as well as other land-blocked regions in the free trade area.

China is now Africa’s third largest trading partner behind the EU and U. S；meanwhile，Chinese FDI stock in Africa increased from $49 million in 1990 to $2.6 billion in 2006. But what role does China play in Africa’s development？This paper attempts to provide an assessment of China’s impact on Africa. It concludes that the influence of China as a trade partner，investor and donor is particularly complicated：although China’s economic activities in Africa have contributed significantly to African economic growth，there is much room for China to enhance its role as a developmental partner by modifying some of its methods of economic interaction. Yet，despite the fact that Africa faces constraints that China did not have to contend with，Africa could also draw on lessons from China’s success in terms of poverty alleviation and the implementation of effective development policy.

These experiences could be of great value for other developing economies.

What is more，the proportion of its population living in poverty has substantially reduced following its recent rapid economic growth. So China is an example of success and perhaps a model for other developing countries. China’s policy on social security played an important role in securing social stability and a bright economic future. This paper looks at China’s policy on social security.
The first part of the paper reviews the history of Chinese social security policies and begins to look at the present day. Then the paper evaluates the present policy on social security and draws conclusions about its model. Following this description，the paper gives some experiences that can be learned by other developing countries. Finally，the paper makes a two-fold evaluation：Chinese social security policy reflects and perpetuates the inequality of the rest of its society. In fact it makes the income inequality more serious. On the other hand，the Chinese policy does play a key role in alleviating absolute poverty. And as a conclusion，the paper makes suggestions for improvements.
